Written By: Dr. Veronica M. Bito

With the theme, “Elevating Research Excellence: Building Capacity for Critical Analysis and Effective Review”, the University of Baguio Science High School’s Annual English Conclave was conducted on a two-part series on September 6, and 15, 2025 at its newly adopted school, Quezon Hill
Elementary School with teachers, staff, and administrators as participants of this Outreach endeavor.

Having concluded its 4th year, this year’s Conclave organized by the English Department, in coordination with the school’s outreach committee, focused on emphasizing the importance of critical evaluation, offering constructive feedback, and honing skills to analyze research quality, and methodology; and put premium on developing skills, knowledge, and tools that enhance teachers’ ability to engage in high-level critique and contribute to improving research standards in their respective fields.

Research proposals have been developed as indicators of success for the two-part series, which are expected to resume next year to achieve completion of the researches, and as a part of the Conclave’s 5th year.

From these, the organizers expect to share excellence and passion, and exhibit them to contribute to the university’s vision and mission of taking part in SDG 4: Quality Education, and in creating a positive impact on the implementation of all its planned activities to attain the school’s objectives
while honing the potentials of both the students and the faculty members.
