Other Posts

The demand for real-world training experiences is ever-increasing, especially in fields like information technology where hands-on expertise is essential. Recognizing this need, Isabela State University’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) networking students, under the guidance of their esteemed professor, Sir Larry B. De Guzman, sought to augment their theoretical knowledge with practical proficiency in Cisco networking.

Bridging the Gap: Real-World Cisco Networking Training for Isabela State University BSIT Students

Mr. Anthony Galutan was the speaker for the event held last January 18-19, 2024. With his expertise in Cisco networking and a shared passion for empowering the next generation of IT professionals, he provided specialized training for the aspiring network administrators of Isabela State University. He was assisted by Miss Kristal Anne Marcelo.

Under the guidance of Mr. Galutan and Ms. Marcelo, the Isabela State University BSIT students were given practical networking activities. Over the course of two days, a cohort of 59 learners immersed themselves in a practical learning experience, gaining proficiency in configuring switches and routers, troubleshooting network issues, and mastering the basics of Cisco networking protocols.

The event was held in observance of SDG No. 4 (Quality Education) and No. 5 (Gender Equality), endeavoring to teach people of all genders how to properly operate and troubleshoot their routers.
