Empowering Young Learners Through Educational Support: Donation Drive Benefits 30 Indigent Pupils of Quezon Hill Elementary School

Written by Angelo V. Manis

In a heartfelt effort to support young learners and promote access to quality education, a donation drive was conducted on June 15, 2026, at Quezon Hill Elementary School. The initiative benefited 30 indigent pupils from Kindergarten to Grade 6, providing them with essential school supplies to help them prepare for the upcoming academic year.

The donation project was made possible through the generosity of an alumna from the University of Baguio Science High School, Batch 2011, and faculty members of the University of Baguio Science High School. Their contributions reflected a shared commitment to giving back to the community and supporting students who face financial challenges in their educational journey. Each beneficiary received a set of school materials that included a backpack, lunch box, water bottle, umbrella, pencil, ballpen, notebook, pencil case, and crayons. These items were carefully selected to address the learners’ basic school needs and to help ease the financial burden on their families.

The activity was initiated and facilitated by dedicated volunteers from the Student Parliamentary Government and teachers who worked together to organize, prepare, and distribute the donations. Their collective efforts ensured the success of the outreach program and brought smiles to the faces of the young recipients. This initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. By providing essential learning resources, the project helps create opportunities for students to participate more effectively in their studies and pursue their educational goals with confidence and hope.
