Jesus Never Fails (JeNeFa) Scholastica, Inc. from San Vicente, Ilocos Sur conducted a benchmarking visit to the University of Baguio Science High School (UBSHS) on October 7, 2025, with a focused agenda aimed at promoting SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
The JeNeFa Scholastica delegation lead by Bishop Michael C. Mahor, School President, and Dr. Macrina R. Fontejon, School Principal, academic heads, and lead faculty—was welcomed by Dr. Thea P. Suaco, UBSHS Principal, Dr. Marilyn M. Gadgad, UBSHS Assistant Principal, Subject Heads, and staff of UB Science High
School, a premier science-focused secondary institution recognized for academic excellence and innovation.

The visit served as an educational exchange designed to strengthen institutional practices, enhance teaching and leadership strategies, and foster collaboration between the two private academic institutions. JeNeFa Scholastica’s benchmarking visit is part of its strategic commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education), particularly in ensuring effective teaching, inclusive learning environments, and professional development for educators. The visit also highlighted SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering inter-school cooperation and
capacity-building through knowledge sharing.
According to school officials, the benchmarking activity is expected to translate into tangible improvements in JeNeFa Scholastica’s instructional programs, governance structure, and faculty training initiatives. Both institutions expressed interest in continuing professional exchanges, potentially including teacher training, joint seminars, and future benchmarking opportunities. JeNeFa Scholastica officials emphasized that the visit marked not only a step toward internal improvement but also a broader commitment to contributing to the Philippine
education sector’s advancement—one that is inclusive, globally aligned, and anchored in quality.
