University of Baguio Extends Housing Support for Employees Through Accessible Assistance Programs

The University of Baguio always creates programs that support the welfare and well-being of its employees. The University continues to strengthen initiatives that promote housing accessibility, particularly in securing affordable housing. Understanding that access to decent and affordable housing contributes significantly to quality of life and work productivity, UB has established measures that assist employees in achieving home ownership through practical accessible support programs.

One of the university’s key initiatives includes assistance in housing loans applications through the Pag-IBIG Fund, a government-backed program designed to make home financing more attainable for Filipino workers. To make the process more convenient, UB offers an automatic salary deduction system for employees who avail themselves of Pag-IBIG housing loans. This mechanism not only simplifies repayment but also promotes consistent financial management among staff members. In addition, Pag-IBIG brochures and informational materials posted in the bulletin board are readily available at the Payroll Office to guide employees through the process, ensuring transparency and ease of access to relevant housing information.

Through these proactive support mechanisms, the University of Baguio continues to embody its commitment to employee welfare, sustainable living, and community development. By empowering its workforce with accessible financial pathways toward home ownership, UB reinforces its vision of creating a supportive, equitable, and thriving academic community, in harmony with the principles of SDG 11.
