The University of Baguio, through its School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA), proudly demonstrated its commitment to excellence in teacher education at the PAPSET 2025 National Convention held on November 21–22, 2025 at the Enrique Garcia Auditorium, Bataan National High School, Balanga City. The convention gathered faculty members, researchers, and students from state universities, colleges, and higher education institutions across the country, creating a vibrant space for collaboration, scholarly exchange, and professional growth.
Representing the University of Baguio were distinguished faculty researchers Dr. Elmer C. Eligio, Dr. Sabrina A. Ramos, and Mr. Lexter S. Eligio, who delivered insightful research presentations. Dr. Ramos also showcased exemplary pedagogical practice through her participation in demonstration teaching.

STELA student participants from the BEED and BSED programs—Queen Arvy B. Geronimo, Reimijane B. Bocarile, Wesley D. Delos Santos, Liezel Ann S. Buya, Keziah Lyz C. Cruz, Eunice Mycah B. Cristino, Sarah Jane Pattang, and Jayvee Lloyd B. Gayao—likewise displayed their skills and academic rigor through compelling research presentations and demonstration teaching sessions.

The two-day convention underscored UB’s unwavering dedication to educational excellence, research innovation, and transformative teacher training. This commitment was further affirmed during the Gawad Parangal awarding ceremony, where UB faculty and student presenters were honored for their outstanding contributions to the event—an achievement that reflects the university’s drive to elevate teacher education in the Philippines.
The active engagement of UB’s STELA delegates alongside respected institutions nationwide highlights the university’s leadership in nurturing competent, compassionate, and forward-thinking educators ready to make meaningful contributions to the country’s educational landscape.
