MUNTINLUPA CITY — The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) held its Senior High School Training of Trainers (TOT) Phase II at the Quest Plus Conference Center in Filinvest City, Muntinlupa. Running from February 18 to 22, 2026, this intensive five-day program is designed to equip national trainers with the expertise required to lead upcoming In-Service Training (INSET) sessions for private school educators nationwide.

This phase of the training focuses on deep-diving into the Strengthened Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum and ensuring instructional alignment with the latest educational standards. University of Baguio’s very own distinguished national trainers are among a select group chosen for their subject-matter mastery:
- Dr. Julius Gat-eb (Filipino)
- Dr. Veronica M. Bito (English)
- Dr. Ramil Domingo (Philosophy)
- Dr. Roselle Aniceto (English)
- Mr. Angelo Manis (Filipino)
- Ms. Mary-Ann Daculog (Physical Science)
The TOT Phase II serves as a critical bridge to the nationwide rollout of the 2026 INSET, aiming to enhance the teaching-learning competencies of private SHS teachers. By standardizing the quality of instruction across different regions, the program ensures that private educational institutions remain competitive and compliant with national certification requirements and standards.
Beyond technical mastery, the training underscores a commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable education for all. By empowering these trainers to mentor thousands of private school teachers in the Philippines, the program directly addresses Target 4 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on increasing the supply of qualified educators through international and national collaboration. This strategic investment in human capital ensures that the Filipino youth receive an education that is not only globally competitive but also a powerful tool for sustainable development and social mobility.
Following this session in Muntinlupa, PEAC is scheduled to continue its national training runs with the national trainers, including our six (6) SHS National Trainers.
