The 2nd Regional Student Research Colloquium, organized by the University of Baguio through its Research Innovation Extension and Community Outreach (RIECO) Office, is a significant event aimed at fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing academic research. This colloquium, themed “Meaningful Collaboration through Research,” is set to bring together undergraduate and graduate students from various fields including business administration, criminology, engineering, architecture, and more. By providing a platform for students to present their research findings and engage in intellectual exchanges, the event seeks to enhance the participants’ research competence while promoting knowledge-sharing across different academic disciplines.

Scheduled for October 18, 2024, in a hybrid setup, the colloquium will accommodate participants both online via Zoom and in person at the University of Baguio. This dual modality ensures wider participation and accessibility, allowing students from different locations to benefit from the event. The colloquium’s focus on meaningful collaboration underscores the importance of interdisciplinary research in addressing complex societal issues, making it a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their perspectives, deepen their expertise, and contribute to the collective academic community.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

A. All Student Researcher(s) are eligible to submit their abstract to the REGIONAL STUDENT RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM with the theme, “Meaningful Collaboration through Research”

B. Please send your 250-word abstract as a Word attachment following the format for Abstract below:

1. Title (according to publication – bold, Sentence case, only first letter is capitalized except for Scientific name).
2. Authors – use first name followed by the surname, and indicate the presenting author with an asterisk.
• Affiliations – italicize, if authors are from different institutions
• Corresponding author should indicate the complete email address.
3. Abstracts should be 250 words or less and must provide a clear overview of the:
• Introduction
• Research Objectives
• Methodology
• Key findings
• Conclusion(s) and Recommendations
• Keywords (up to 5)
4. Use A4, Times New Roman, Font Size 12, 1 inch (margin)
5. Abstract to be in MS-Word. For the File Name:
• Institution_School_Family Name_First Name_Middle Initial

C. Abstracts that have been reviewed and approved by the RIECO will be eligible for presentation

D. Only abstracts submitted electronically will be accepted. Please submit abstract through the link https://bit.ly/RIECO2023studentabstract or the QR code in the poster.

E. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to the submitting author’s email address to acknowledge the submission.
