Selected Grades 5 and 6 learners of the University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School (UBLES) actively participated in the HelloWorld Orientation Program, marking an important step toward global learning and international collaboration. The activity reflects the school’s continued commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by providing learners with meaningful opportunities to develop communication skills, confidence, and global awareness.

The HelloWorld program is designed to connect students from different parts of the world through interactive and engaging platforms that promote English communication and cultural exchange. By participating in this initiative, UBLES learners became part of a wider global network, supporting Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration and shared learning experiences with international communities.
During the orientation, the UBLES learners showed confidence and enthusiasm as they introduced themselves and shared information about their school. They proudly presented UBLES, highlighting its values, learning environment, and commitment to excellence. Their active participation demonstrated not only their communication skills but also their readiness to engage in global conversations.

The activity also provided a meaningful opportunity for learners to develop respect and appreciation for diverse cultures. As they listened and interacted with others, they began to understand different perspectives and experiences. This exposure supports Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting understanding, respect, and peaceful relationships among individuals from different backgrounds.
More than just an orientation, the experience allowed learners to practice real-life communication, build confidence, and expand their worldview. It encouraged them to see themselves as part of a global community and inspired them to continue improving their skills in preparation for future international engagements. Through their participation in the HelloWorld Orientation, UBLES learners demonstrated that they are not only academically prepared but also globally aware and socially responsible. This initiative highlights the school’s dedication to nurturing learners who are capable of connecting, communicating, and contributing in an increasingly interconnected world.
