The School of Business Administration and Accountancy proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Joshua Alexander Ramos, who emerged as the Overall Champion in the 2026 5150 Triathlon held in the Province of Guimaras on March 8, 2026. His remarkable performance in one of the most demanding endurance events highlights not only his athletic ability but also his discipline, resilience, and determination.

Ramos dominated the competition with an impressive finishing time of 2:14:01, placing him at the top among a field of highly competitive athletes. The triathlon, known for its grueling three-stage format, tested participants across swimming, cycling, and running. He completed the 1.5-kilometer swim in 0:23:35, powered through the 40-kilometer bike course in 1:09:33, and concluded with a strong 10-kilometer run in 0:38:51. His consistent performance across all stages demonstrated both strategic pacing and exceptional endurance.
Despite challenging race conditions, Ramos remained composed and focused. Heavy rains prior to the event resulted in strong water currents, while powerful winds made the cycling segment particularly demanding. Rather than being hindered, he skillfully adapted and even used these conditions to his advantage. Coming from Baguio City, he noted that he found the course manageable and even enjoyable.

Reflecting on his victory, Ramos shared, “It feels great. It’s always an honor to race alongside them,” and added, “The course was really challenging, but I enjoyed it.” His words reflect both humility and passion for the sport.
Beyond the victory itself, Ramos’ achievement embodies the essence of Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. His dedication to maintaining physical fitness and mental strength serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle. His journey highlights how discipline and perseverance can lead to success—not only in sports but in all aspects of life.
More importantly, his triumph serves as an inspiration to fellow students. It encourages them to prioritize their well-being, stay committed to their goals, and persevere through challenges. Ramos exemplifies the values of a true SBAA student—resilient, driven, and committed to excellence.

His victory is not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for the entire School of Business Administration and Accountancy community. It reflects the collective spirit of determination and excellence that the institution fosters. As Ramos continues to pursue greater heights, his achievement stands as a reminder that success is attainable through hard work, focus, and unwavering determination.
Ultimately, his story inspires others to keep striving, to push beyond their limits, and to keep moving forward—long after crossing the finish line.
