The School of Business Administration and Accountancy successfully held SBAA Sportsfest 2026, themed Formula 1 – the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel, single-seater formula racing cars. The event was combined by four recognized student organizations under the School of Business Administration and Accountancy: Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), Junior Executive Circle (JEC), Junior Financial Executives (JFINEX), and the Junior Association of Marketing Executives (JAME) in a friendly competition of Men’s Basketball.

The SBAA Grand Prix was organized to promote well-being, inclusivity, teamwork, and student development, to align with the university’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being through Zumba and games, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality through invitation of all members of the SBAA, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by building camaraderie in different organizations.

One of the games was “Trip to Jerusalem”, where volunteers competed for a balloon. The event also included a Women’s Free Throw Challenge, which encouraged women participants to showcase their basketball skills. Reinforced by the importance of gender inclusivity in sports, aligned with SDG 5: Gender Equality.

One crowd favorite was the Zumba activity because everyone was invited to participate and had fun dancing at the center of the gymnasium, which for a moment have a little exercise for their body and at the same time enjoyed it. These activities created opportunities for students from different organizations to interact, collaborate, and build a stronger relationship.

The SBAA Sportsfest 2026 has been proven to be more than just an appreciation of sports, but rather a meaningful platform for unity, camaraderie, and holistic development for students. By promoting healthy competition, fun activities, and the active participation of different student organizations, the SBAA Sportsfest has further strengthened the ties within the SBAA family.
