The RMO team conducted a seminar-workshop entitled “The Future is Now, Let’s Start the Climate Action with Youth” last September 15, 2023, at the Centennial Hall of the University of Baguio attended by the Bachelor of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering (BSESE) students of the university.

BSESE Students taking bolder steps in protecting our environment

The seminar-workshop inspired and educated future leaders, innovators, and decision-makers with the knowledge, skills, and motivation that will help them contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Developmental Goals. The discussion, ideas, and initiatives presented during the seminar-workshop remind us that the youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but they are the leaders of today. Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges facing our world and it’s heartening to see young people taking the reins and driving meaningful change.

From the powerful presentations on “Climate change: overview and updates”, it is clear that the empowered youth are at the forefront of the fight against climate change. They are not waiting for others to act, they are taking bold steps to protect our planet and secure a better future for themselves and the generations to come.
