Selected students with identified needs from Guisad Valley National High School indulged in culinary excellence through a fine dining experience last December 4, 2023, as the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM), through its LIFE (Livelihood and Innovation for Excellence) Academy, initiated a Share-a-meal Program with the theme “Nourish to Flourish: Empowering Communities through a Sustained Feeding Initiative”. The program hoped to spread warmth and nourishment while rekindling every student’s dreams and aspirations.

Concurrently, sharing the success of SIHTM’s LIFE Academy while giving hope and inspiration, the students received the LIFE Academy bags. The undying pursuit of excellence and the wealth of knowledge encapsulated in every bag is a symbol of the very essence of the LIFE Academy.

Gracing the event through a special message of inspiration was UB Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Janice Kaylyn K. Lonogan. The program, a brainchild of SIHTM Dean, Ms. Jenelyn M. Magpatoc, was successfully concluded through the hard work and creativity of its overall chair, Ms. Mary Joy Limpin, together with the team effort of the SIHTM SAC family headed by the adviser, Ms. Joan Florague, the school’s ECOS Coordinator, Ms. Dixie Lidawan, the program chairs, Ms. Joanna Marie Victorio and Ms. Kresdale May Pacalso, the SIHTM mentors, SIHTM Special Performing Arts, Organization of Student Patissiers, the AACACO culinary team,  student leaders, and volunteers.
