Marc (Mac) Jeff Rae S. Dulay, earned the International All-Star award for the month of June 2024 just after a month of being a Retail Associate in his Summer Work Travel program in Kalahari Resorts, Sandusky, Ohio, United States of America (USA). Mr. Dulay is a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management (BSBA-FM) at the University of Baguio School of Business Administration and Accountancy (UB-SBAA).

The main criteria for his nomination by his retail supervisor were: having an outstanding overall work performance – “Living the Kalahari Promise Above and Beyond Expectations” and being an international student. According to his supervisor, “Mac has been a part of our retail team as a J1 for such a small amount of time but has managed to make such a large impact. Mac is always looking for opportunities to help. We are all convinced that he is an actual ray of sunshine pretending to be a person. Mac is so positive and is always making sure his team is okay. He often volunteers to dress up as one of the characters and watching him interact with the guests and their families will bring a smile to your face.”

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is a water park resort chain with locations in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; and Round Rock, Texas in the USA.

The Summer Work Travel Program (taking place from May to August), according to the US Embassy website, gives foreign college students the chance to live and work in the USA during their summer break, to meet the people, and to see the way of life in the USA. This is one of the various programs under the BridgeUSA programs, formerly known as the Exchange Visitor Program.

This program for UB students is made possible by the time-tested partnership between UB and Zip Travel Philippines. Zip Travel Philippines is dedicated to and attributes its success to helping provide Filipino students with intercultural “opportunities for work, travel, and training with the utmost professionalism”.

Mr. Dulay’s certificate of recognition.
