The University of Baguio School of Business Administration and Accountancy once again celebrates a remarkable achievement. A Financial Management student had success in the Certified Financial Management Specialist exam that took place in February 2026. This exam was organized by the Center for Professional Advancement and Continuing Education (CPACE).

Gianna Rose D. Basilio from the University of Baguio did an excellent job. She showed academic excellence and secured a rank 9 nationwide with a rate of 90.42%. This achievement puts the University of Baguio among the best schools in the country for this certification.
The CFMS assessment, which is a nationally recognized certification exam for financial management, tests the competence of individuals in the areas of financial analysis, strategic decision-making, risk management, and ethical financial practices. The fact that UB made it to the list of Top 10 Examinees for the CFMS assessment speaks volumes of the school’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only skilled and proficient in their field of expertise but also have integrity.
The University of Baguio congratulates Gianna Rose D. Basilio on passing the exam, upholding and bringing honor to the UB SBAA.
This success serves to show that the University remains fully committed to achieving Goal 4 of the SDGs: Quality Education. Goal 4 speaks to the University’s ability to provide relevant and quality education that can lead to the success of its students in their careers. It shows that the University remains dedicated to its efforts to align its curriculum with international standards to ensure that its students not only have the necessary academic competence to succeed in their careers but can also respond to the financial realities of the world.
