The University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School (UBLES) successfully held its School Camping 2025 on November 21–22, 2025, carrying the theme “Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders.” The two-day event gathered around 60 active Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from Grades 4 to 6, providing them with meaningful opportunities to learn essential skills, foster teamwork, and embrace the values of the Scouting movement.

The School Camping aimed to transform young learners into capable and responsible individuals, help them develop practical life skills through hands-on experiences, and empower them to take on leadership roles with confidence and integrity. Through outdoor tasks, safety training, and collaborative activities, the camp strengthened discipline, resilience, and camaraderie among participating scouts.

The activities conducted during the camp directly supported various United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 4 – Quality Education: through outdoor, experiential, and character-building learning activities.
  • SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: through environmental appreciation and community-centered initiatives.
  • SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: by cultivating discipline, leadership, and responsible citizenship.
  • SDG 2 – Zero Hunger: by promoting responsible meal preparation, food-sharing practices, and proper food consumption during campsite activities.
  • SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being: through zumba exercises, jogging, and outdoor scouting games that strengthened the scouts’ physical health and overall well-being.

Through these initiatives, UBLES continues to transform, help, and empower learners to become active contributors to a sustainable and thriving community.
