The University of Baguio once again demonstrated its capacity to deliver large-scale, high-impact initiatives through the successful staging of Love on the Run Season 2: Buddy Run Edition on March 14, 2026, along Anacleto Street. Drawing a total of 187 participants from both within and beyond the university community, the event stood as a dynamic celebration of unity, health, and collaboration—further solidifying UB’s role as a leader in community-driven and purpose-oriented engagements.
The event was primarily initiated and led by All Out Multisports, under the direction of Race Director Mr. Michael B. Billick IV, together with Ms. Keziah Jean Fedcheck, Ms. Rian Pascua, and Mr. Stein Balway. The initiative was made even more impactful through the strong support and collaboration of the UB SBAA Student Body, led by Mr. Prince Mac Anderson A. Baldeo, Ms. Rc Mae V. Payumo, and Mr. Ricci Jlex M. Cayat. Anchored in the guiding principle “Para sa SBAA, Kasama ang SBAA,” the partnership reflected a shared commitment to delivering an inclusive, student-centered, and community-driven event.
Formal coordination began as early as January 2026, involving extensive planning, continuous communication, and necessary adjustments—including changes in scheduling. Despite these challenges, the combined efforts of All Out Multisports and the UB SBAA Student Body resulted in a seamless and well-executed event that highlighted professionalism, adaptability, and strong organizational synergy.
A Premium and Inclusive Race Experience

The Buddy Run featured three race categories: 3.2-kilometer, 5-kilometer, and 10-kilometer distances, each designed to cater to runners of varying abilities while showcasing scenic routes around the university. The 3.2-kilometer route included a U-turn at the Azalea Hotel entrance, while the 5-kilometer category extended to Pacdal Circle. Meanwhile, the 10-kilometer category offered a more advanced route, making a U-turn at Panagbenga Park and passing through Golden Ilusorio Park Road and South Drive.

Participants were provided with a comprehensive race experience, including event shirts, race bibs, access to well-supported aid stations, and finisher medals. A defining highlight of the event was the uniquely designed half heart-shaped medal awarded to each participant—symbolizing connection and unity, and forming a complete heart when paired with another runner’s medal. Finishers of the 10-kilometer category also received exclusive finisher shirts, while top performers were awarded trophies and recognitions.

The event was further elevated through the support of sponsors, including Fitbar, Popple, PineCone, Zaer, and All Out Multisports, all of whom contributed to enhancing the overall experience of the participants.
An Engaging and Community-Centered Atmosphere

Open to both the University of Baguio and the wider community, the event successfully fostered inclusivity and participation across diverse groups. The Buddy Run format encouraged runners to participate side by side with a partner, strengthening connections and promoting teamwork.
The race environment was marked by high energy and strong engagement—from our enthusiastic marshals from SCJPS & Security Office that stationed along the routes, to accessible aid stations because of our very dedicated SON Medics, and a lively program hosted by STELA officers. Participants not only experienced the physical challenge of the run but also the joy of shared accomplishment, making the event both memorable and meaningful.
