Baguio City, July 31 – August 2, 2024 – The School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety (SCJPS) at the University of Baguio (UB) recently came together in a remarkable display of unity and collaboration as it prepared its candidates for the 2024 Criminologists’ Licensure Examinations, held from July 31 to August 2. Under the banner “Together We Rise UB SCJPS United for Success!”, the entire UB SCJPS community—including teachers, staff, students, and alumni—joined forces to ensure the success of its examinees.

This collective effort, known as BINNADANG 2024, embodied the spirit of unity and collaboration, with each member contributing their unique strengths to create a robust support system. The UB SCJPS family firmly believed that teamwork could achieve far more than individual efforts, and this belief galvanized the community to provide unwavering support to aspiring criminologists.

As they faced the examination challenges, the UB SCJPS team focused not just on passing the exams but on producing competent law enforcers who would contribute to a just and peaceful society. Their efforts were not in isolation but closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) 16, a global initiative emphasizing the importance of peace, justice, and strong institutions.

By preparing well-rounded, ethically driven criminologists, UB SCJPS actively contributed to producing law enforcers who would uphold the rule of law and ensure justice in their communities. This initiative reflected the university’s commitment to fostering solid institutions that maintain peace and security, essential to a stable and fair society.

As the examinees faced the crucial days of the licensure examinations, they did so with the full backing of a dedicated and united community. Together, they conquered challenges with determination, grit, and a shared goal of success. With BINNADANG 2024, the UB SCJPS family did more than prepare for an exam—they laid the groundwork for the future of law enforcement and justice in the Philippines.
