On June 25, 2025, the Basic Investigation Seminar was held at the Smart AVR to strengthen the investigative skills of the UB Safety Officers to foster a safer workplace environment.
A total of 17 OSHCOM members attended this comprehensive seminar, led by esteemed resource speaker, Dr. Filibert Patrick Tad-awan. The session covered essential investigative techniques, proper documentation practices, and root cause analysis, all tailored specifically to workplace safety situations. Dr. Tad-awan shared his invaluable insights and practical expertise, empowering participants to understand the critical steps involved in accident investigation and emphasizing the importance of accurate and detailed reporting. The seminar incorporated engaging discussions and case studies, allowing attendees to apply the concepts learned and develop a proactive safety mindset. The overarching goal was to cultivate a culture of safety awareness, responsibility, and continuous improvement among campus safety officers.
