Student journalists showcased their skills and earned recognition during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held from March 9 to 13, 2026, in Bangued, Abra.

The Gazetteer Broadcasting Team emerged as one of the top performers in the competition, securing 2nd place in radio broadcasting and earning the Best News Presenter award. The team, under the guidance of their adviser, Cristina Dea Y. Tamayo, is composed of Kylie Rafaelle D. Madayag, Heiss Izek C. Simon, Aiah Y. Tobias, Drake Eagan R. Gachallian, Shinadanjo C. Calatan, Christienne Louise Dominique S. Lozares, and Cassie Fielle D. Madayag, who demonstrated strong delivery, coordination, and journalistic competence throughout the event.

Similarly, the Omalahokan Radio Broadcasting Team, with Florianne R. Dangiwan as adviser, also brought pride to their school after clinching the Best News Presenter award. The team includes Zea Geraldine W. Guibac, Dean Dreigh Krayon Y. Tamayo, Gabryelle Alexie B. Martin, Kris Ysabel W. Lamong, Kent Jhayd L. Laborina, Mik Gilzeth Khalif T. Pagauisan, and Aiesha A. Cawalo.

In individual categories, Aena Daizen Kalisha B. Manerwap secured 3rd place in Feature Writing, while Zyan Faith P. Gogoc placed 5th in Editorial Cartooning. Meanwhile, Ian Jace C. Botis and Krishna Mae Cago actively participated in their respective events, contributing to the overall representation of their school.

In the school paper category, the Gazetteer earned 4th place in Editorial Page and 9th place in Sports Page, finishing 10th overall, while the Omalahokan secured 5th place in Editorial Page.

The accomplishments of the student journalists underscore their dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence in campus journalism. Guided by their advisers, these young communicators not only brought honor to their school but also highlighted the power of student voices in shaping regional media excellence.
