The University of Baguio participated in the 3rd Robolution: Robotics and Automation International Competition held on December 6–7, 2024, at the University of Makati. This prestigious event brought together 25 schools from across the Philippines to compete in eight categories: E-Robot Line Followers (v1, v2, and v3), E-Robo Quiz Bee, E-Megasumo, E-Rovouthon (Innovation Challenge), Freestyle (Arduino or Raspberry Pi project-based), Mobile Controlled E-Robot, Robosim, and ZMRobo.

The event opened with a series of hybrid talks from distinguished experts in the field of robotics and automation. Key speakers included Dr. Flaviu Birouas of the University of Oradea, Romania; Atty. Marion Ivy D. Decena, Director of DOST-TAPI; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Mete from Fibonacci International Robot Olympiad; Mr. Omega Hong from ZMRobo China; DICT Secretary Ivan John E. The University of Baguio’s delegation comprised 15 students from the School of Information Technology’s Computer Engineering program. Their outstanding efforts shone throughout the competition. The LCJ Roborangers team—composed of Christian Russel Castelltort, Ron Leo Manangan, and Raphael James Carulla—secured 2nd Runner-Up in both the E-Rovouthon and E-Robot v2 categories. Another team, Lady’s Choice, consisting of Raian Geronimo Garcia, Arden James Villaruel, and Geosemay Osalbo, claimed the championship title in the Mobile Controlled E-Robot category.

These impressive performances led to the University of Baguio being named 1st Runner-Up overall. The team was awarded a 3D printer and a PHP 6,000 gift check from Power Mac.
