UB Graduate School sets Quality Education and Internationalization as its primary goal

Internationalization and globalization are today’s trends in education. With intense competition for jobs, students considering a graduate school degree must be more selective when they choose a graduate school degree program elsewhere.

The quality and strength of the doctorate program a student pursues will significantly influence his/her career options and career paths. In today’s world, progress is essential and reasons for embarking upon this path can range from career advancement within the same industry to a desire to switch careers and pursue something new.

Recognizing the possibility of opening more opportunities for foreign students to be globally adaptive and competitive, the University of Baguio has now opened its gates to students from different nations. This is one major stride towards turning UB into a globalized academia. Through internationalization, the university aims to provide educational opportunities not just to Filipinos, but to any student of any nationality who shows an interest in pursuing a post-graduate degree. In addition, this is an opportunity for the whole of the UB Community to showcase Filipino leadership, thus, achieving a greater understanding of our multicultural and increasingly interconnected world.

Seen as the university’s means of contributing to the attainment of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals on inclusive, equitable, and quality education, and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development, the University of Baguio’s EIDOS program ensures sustainability and growth with the strengthened current partnerships and expected partnerships with institutions in the Asia and Pacific region.
