The School of Engineering and Architecture conducted an outreach in the University of Baguio’s adopted school last March 25, 2023. The program is entitled “PINTAKASI: Juan the Art in Heart,” a mural painting program. The Pintakasi initiative intends to bring the arts to life in the hands of the Alejo M. Pacalso Memorial National High School.
Like other current programs, the community program’s participants are charged with assisting in the whole creation of the human person, which anticipates the individual’s goal, as well as with advancing the common good of Filipino society. The community thus extends beyond the mere dissemination of knowledge. It is extended to the underprivileged, disadvantaged, and in-need sectors of the community, with an image of these people developing good qualities.
To find methods to meet these demands, the extension services program of the University of Baguio School of Engineering and Architecture carries out activities and employs a variety of tactics and strategies to discover the needs of its target audience. The initiative is a collaborative effort between the school and other community sectors to serve humanity.
SEA students doing mural painting as outreach
The highlight of this activity is a mural painting that gives the opportunity for the community members to come together and actively participate in creating public art. Let’s continue to work together to inspire, motivate, and assist young people as they develop their skills and ignite their enthusiasm.
