University of Baguio’s School of Engineering and Architecture Celebrates Future Professionals at Hard Hat Ceremony 2025

The University of Baguio (UB) School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) hosted its semestral Hard Hat Ceremony on January 31, 2025, at the UB Gymnasium. This event marked a significant milestone for students embarking on their On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs, symbolizing their readiness to enter the professional world.

Hard Hat Ceremony pledge

The ceremony was attended by SEA faculty, staff, students, and esteemed guests. Speakers, including Engr. Charles Bryan Carame, Engr. Ronald Chester Seda, and Engr. John Alexis Flores, delivered inspirational messages, sharing valuable insights and advice to guide the students as they transition into their respective fields. They also emphasized how to overcome challenges and using adversity as a catalyst for growth.

The dean of SEA, Dr. Jeferd Saong, also shared insights about navigating the professional world, reminding the audience that “The journey doesn’t end here—it begins.” And one of the highlights of the event was when the students expressed their deep gratitude for their parents’ sacrifices, acknowledging that every success is built on a foundation of love and support. The Hard Hat Ceremony underscores the University of Baguio’s commitment to encouraging excellence and motivating its students to significantly contribute to their chosen disciplines.
